Business As Usual

I know I know.

I haven’t been busy with this blog for a while. It’s hard to be poetic when you are not in a melancholic mood. I don’t know if it’s true but it certainly seems so. That it takes tragedy and heartbreak to be poetic. Sure you can take romance and be poetic, but nothing beats tragedy and heartbreak.

And those two words are currently out of the picture for now.

I am now currently taking my blogging hobby to the next level by actually creating and maintaning websites. For a fee. I decided that since I am into it, then I might as well get paid to do it. Continue Reading…

Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays

Since the holidays are coming, I will be out for a while from here. Unless of course, there is an urgent need to post something.

In the upcoming year, I will be opening up a couple more projects and this holiday season is actually not a vacation for me. I will be preparing for these projects so when they come out next year, I wouldn’t have to worry about maintaining this and the Anak ni Kulapo site.

And while I’m out and about, feel free to browse my archives and for those entredroppers out there, take a break will ya? Just kiddin’. Just keep on doing what you guys are doin’.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Buraot.com is Now Mine!

buraot

Finally, the domain that I was looking for.

I started blogging more than two years from now. After a couple of months with the freebie blogspot, I went the dotcom way. However, my first personal choice for a domain was the one that would pretty much spell the word for everyone, BURAOT. Continue Reading…

Entrecard No More

entrecard no moreThese days, things at entrecard are beginning to feel different. I think most users would agree that indeed, things are a-changin.

Back when Entrecard founder Graham Langdon was at the helm,  despite criticisms on the effects of the system like bounce rates and such, still, one could feel the sense of community there.

The way the business operate may not be populist (as is on most business models) but at least I found it somehow democratic. When something needs to change, proposals would be presented for everybody to see, reflect, and discuss. Continue Reading…

The Dashboard

dashboard

I just thought I want to share some stuff that’s been on my dashboard and thank those who helped made this site where it is right now.

I started building up this site sometime last December 2008. Having had enough free practice using blogspot, I was swayed by fellow blogger friends to make my way to wordpress and have it hosted. Continue Reading…

Messing With Politics

matchfire

The initial plan when I set-up this new site was to combine my different blogs into one hybrid site. As much as it would be better to do separate sites for different niches, practical matters needed to be considered.

Feature stories and literary writing was at the forefront of this site. Steady traffic was provided by the Entredropper script developed by my friend and tech guru KotsengKuba. Technically speaking, there are still lots of stuff that need improvement here. Continue Reading…

Friendship Awards

friendship award

I got another congeniality Award cum Tag. This time it’s the Friendship Award from one of our Entredropper, Miss T.

Some people hate meme and tags and awards. They think it’s childish, answering a bunch of questions, some mundane, a waste of blog space because it pertains to nothing but converts the blogs into social networks, and a waste of time.

Some people love it. It creates camaraderie and friendship among fellow bloggers, it creates a sense of community in a whole wide world of the blogosphere, and it promotes regular traffic and interactivity, and ultimately, it provides backlinks for all of the participating sites. Continue Reading…
