First Meme Award
I got this site’s very first Meme Award, an Honest Scrap meme award from Pin(k)oy.
And according to this meme, I had to divulge, honestly, 10 facts about me. On some other blogs, I think I had these things covered. But for the purpose of this meme and this new site, I’ll put some…
I really don’t know where meme started or what was the first ever meme that was produced. I think it would be safe to assume that it originated from social networking sites since it is all about “yourself”. Memes are like the online world’s version of the slum books of puberty.
It allows other people to take a peek inside your personality without actually giving yourself away. The trick is to carefully leave a small room for mystery so others would have no choice but wonder if it’s okay to ask another.
Here are some facts about me…
- I am a menopause baby. My mom already had 11 kids, two of them died before I was born. So when I was born, I was the tenth and the youngest. And since I am the youngest, our eldest is old enough to be my own mom.
- I love books. And they love me back. I love reading and collecting books and they keep showing up every time I drive to the nearest bookshop.
- I have a fast metabolism rate, which makes me think that I am growing (aging) too fast. This high metabolism rate led me to believe that it accelerates everything in my body, which in turn would lead me to age faster than anybody. Talk about a Benjamin Button type in reverse. Without the Brad Pitt looks.
- I love food. However I am not the typical person who eats three times a day. I can survive my day by eating just once. And since I had number 3, in just minutes after a meal, I had to go to the men’s room.
- I love to cook. And yep, since I love food, I also love to cook.
- I love to write. It’s quite obvious, I have a few blogs. I wish I could quit my day job and just write.
- I am a frustrated musician. I play the guitar. Back in college, we had a quick (very quick) stint as live performers. I wish I could play the piano, the saxophone, and even drums.
- I am a poet by heart. I am always fascinated by the arts and culture, literary stuff. I personally find life to be the most poetic thing of all. And it pains me as it gives me enormous joy to see that its beauty lies in its own imperfection.
- My perfect moment would be me sitting under the shade of a tree, a good book in hand, listening to the sounds of the gentle breeze and the murmurs of a nearby island.
- I am not your typical dude.

loved the facts you wrote so exactly what is your typical guy giggles….and Wow your mom was a busy lady I have 2 can’t imagine that many, thats funny about how your oldest sibling could be your mom, glad I stopped buy.
